bullet

5.0.5.2 (1/26/08, Pocket PC version only) Modified the "Compact Framework" check due to some users incorrectly getting a message that the Compact Framework not installed.  Moved registry entries to comply with Designed For Windows Mobile logo requirements.

bullet

5.0511 (12/1/2007) Fixed a problem that caused a "Data Type Mismatch" error.

bullet

5.05 (11/27/2007) Fixed some problems with COUNT(), SUM(), etc.. "Enter SQL Statement" dialog wasn't displaying properly on landscape devices. New "Calculations" menu choice to try to make calculations easier. OK button now equals DONE button in registration screen. A few registration codes weren't working right. Might have been some problems synchronizing tables that had OLE Objects; hopefully this is now fixed. Improved Windows Vista compatibility. Can register right on device. "Passwords" sample database included. The program now checks your Compact Framework version, and provides a link to update it if necessary. .Mdb files causing an error (mixed case file extension) - fixed. Smartphone DetailView was showing "None" sometimes when the date really had a value - fixed. More informative error message for "unrecognized token" when adding a new record to a table with unsupported symbol.  Should cause less crashing too. More informative drop down filling error message. Custom SQL statements for drop downs were broken - fixed.

bullet

5.04 (07/03/2007) Up/Down on navigation pad was changing the fields when zoomed in on Pocket PC - fixed.  Sync manager was entering the file twice, so sync was happening twice - fixed.  Phone numbers can now be stored in any type field (text, double, integer, etc.).  Scrollbar in Form View now bigger on VGA devices.  Couple of other small bug fixes.

bullet

5.03 (03/31/2007) Yet another attempt to fix a pesky bug where changes to the year are not saved if you do not drop down the calendar on a date field. CREATE TABLE 'MyTable' instead of CREATE TABLE [MyTable] created files causing an error. Starting synchronization with a password protected device file caused an error. Deleting records from an encrypted database in form view caused an error - fixed. Can now select the Access version of a file created from a device file. Exception "no such table 'sync_info'" hopefully fixed. Navigating to a different recordset with an encrypted file caused an error - fixed. Setting a date back to "None" on the Pocket PC caused an error - fixed. Installer now includes the .NET Compact Framework 2 SP2.

bullet

5.02 (03/11/2007) Sync Manager now works correctly on 64 bit Windows Vista.  Added support for INSERT SQL statements.  Found and fixed a few instances where dates were not being saved properly.  Tables with more than one primary key caused a crash in sync manager, as did changes made on the device that violated table rules on the desktop - fixed.  Sync manager does not ask you to rename your desktop file any more if you had set up synchronization previously.

bullet

5.01 (03/02/2007) Entering a minus sign in a field of type "double" gave an error, input boxes on square screen devices were too small, entering multiple new records on the device omitted the last record during sync, occasional "the field cannot hold the value entered" error message in list view - all fixed.  Added Advanced drop down option to use the values from one field but display another (as in version 4), and changed the version numbers so they all matched across platforms.

bullet

5.0 (02/23/2007) All new version with more powerful database engine, new "Synchronization Manager" software, support for Access 20007 file type, encryption/password protection, and much more!

bullet

4.02 (6/5/04) Worked around a problem with Windows Mobile 2003SE devices that could cause the toolbar images to be invisible.  Added "undo" to the text editing menu.  Using the navigation pad when an item has the focus doesn't advance the records.

bullet

4.01 (5/25/04) Added table editing (adding and renaming fields and tables, etc).  No longer crashes if you try to open a file that has a symbol in the name.  Fixed bug that caused the "Save and Apply Query" icon to apply the query twice.  Improved the look and function of the user input and SQL editing boxes, and added cut/copy/paste etc. menu items to these screens.  Tabbing on the last record in Form view now automatically adds a new record, which should make it easier for bar code scanner users.
